
The Philippines emerged as one of the top-performing nations at WorldSkills ASEAN Manila 2025, securing an impressive 12 gold medals as the competition concluded triumphantly at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City. The last time the country won a gold medal was in Vietnam in 2004 in the Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning skill area.

As the WorldSkills ASEAN Manila 2025 competition draws near, more leaders from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) are stepping forward to voice their strong support for the event.

With just a few weeks to go before the region’s top technical–vocational talents converge in the Philippines, heads from ASEAN member states and WorldSkills International have expressed their full support for the upcoming WorldSkills ASEAN Manila 2025 set to take place this August.

Over 30 technical vocational education and training (TVET) stakeholders have signified their support for the country’s hosting of the WorldSkills ASEAN Manila 2025, most of whom were present at the mass Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing ceremony held on July 4 in Pasay City.
